If you followed the poll on G+ you may already know, who the winner is.
Today on Thursday it is clear. THE WINNER IS GO 😉 As clear it was already on Monday with way more than 50%.
I’ll go to golang.org and hammer in some hello world tutorials to get used to the language and the syntax. But since I don’t want to bore you with another ‘normal’ programming tutorial on a language. I will rewrite an old tool which I’ve written in python in go. It was called pysnipp and was a little snippet manager for the command line. So now, how creative, I will call it gosnipp. And on the way to the fully functional improved program I will publish tutorials here, where you can follow me.
Since PySnipp was a very simple program it matches usual way of learning a programming language and that is why it fits so good. In my opinion.
So it will be the typical “Hello World” and after that I will go on with arguments parsing, which is quite important for a command line application and on the way, we will learn all of the syntax and the usual stuff.
To follow the progress, just follow me on twitter, g+ or my youtube channel. You can find all the stuff on the left hand side of the page.
